Car enthusiasts, speed demons, and those out just to enjoy a race will love these new clubs. Here we will highlight 3 of the swankiest country club race tracks to pop up in America. Whether you want to watch BMW’s race against Ferrari’s or strap in and take to the track yourself, these clubs have it all; and membership is not without privilege.

Autobahn Country Club

First on our list lies just outside of Chicago in Joliet, Illinois. The Autobahn Country Club is a car enthusiast dream come true. Being a member means for 6 days a week and a total of 7 months out of the year, you can take on all 24 turns and 3.5 miles of track.

This course isn’t designed for racing, just for going fast and loving cars.

Monticello Motor Club

Arguably the first, and finest exclusive racetrack country club, the Monticello Motor Club in Monticello, New York truly is one of a kind. Membership is private and the only way to get on the track (unless they are hosting a charity event). It is not without perks though.

Membership into the exclusive club is daunting. You must build a house. Seriously. According to Monticello’s president and CEO Ari Straus, “The buy-in at the Thermal Club, which now has three separate tracks, is even steeper. In addition to the $85,000 individual fee, each member must purchase a parcel of land on which to build a condo. On-track parcels start at $500,000, with construction costing at least $1 million.”

What you get in return though is worth the price tag. Unlimited track time, full amenities and access to the most exclusive events and racing in the private sector.

If you are tired of the same old routine with the golfing club boys, or if your cars are all gassed up with nowhere to go, you might just consider joining an elite racetrack country club.

Learning to control your car around a course and battling for speed and bragging rights in the lounge afterward, you are sure to find your groove. If you are all about the speed and have the itch to prove to yourself just how fast you can go: join one of the 3 swankiest racetrack country clubs in America.

There isn’t a better feeling in the world than taking a turn at 120 miles per hour and accelerating to the finish line. No matter the cost.
